Ticketing service at new sports venue in Brasov, Romania comes from Austria

smartmachine delivers WWTS ticketing solution for multipurpose ice arena

The new ice sports arena in Brasov, Romania, is home for the MOL League ice hockey club Municipal Brasov, hosts short-track and figure skating competitions and is open to the public for skating as well.

The required flexibility for providing a wide range of ticket services for this multitude of events taking place in the facility is provided by a solution provider from Austria.

Salzburg, Austria, based smartmachine provided it's partner solution “WWTS” (World Wide Ticket Service), a specialized ticketing software which is designed for seated events but can also easily be switched to provide walk-up sales e.g. for public skating hours, as it was required at the new arena in Brasov.

The solution is fully integrated with the access management system from another Austrian market leader, SKIDATA. As a local system integrator, neotronix group provided not only the installation in site, but also project management, system configuration and user training.

After successful implementation at the beginning of 2010, two points of sale and one administrator workstation can now manage all relevant aspects of ticket sales for all types of events fully independently. Ticket layouts as well as seat plans can be configured, and a combined Barcode & RFID printing/coding unit offers full flexibility for all state-of-the-art ticketing technologies. Furthermore, the system is designed to be easily adapted for Mobile Ticketing, one of the core innovations provided by smartmachine.

“We are really happy that with neotronix we found a partner that was very professional in managing this project from the very beginning and providing excellent support to the client. We are convinced that this project will be an excellent reference for further and bigger sports venues in Romania who are considering to invest into state-of-the-art ticketing and access management systems," says Horst Neuhauser, General Manager of smartmachine.
